The Charlotte Post-new website homepage and featured pages 2022

We are excited to showcase the new website for The Charlotte Post. For over 144 years, The Charlotte Post Publishing Company (TCPPC) has been a dominant force in educating and enlightening African-American communities throughout eight North and South Carolina counties. TCPPC provides readers various ways to receive the latest news through print, digital, and social media. Take a look at the updated features on their newly designed site!

Table of Contents

Navigation

  • The standard main navigation has an expandable dropdown menu with secondary links.
  • This site also has a sticky menu, which means the navigation will stay fixed at the top of your screen as you move down the page. This functionality allows visitors to scroll quickly and explore around on this website without getting lost on pages.
  • On the right side of the main menu, visitors can quickly access pages, including About Us, Advertise, and Circulation.
  • The search bar in the utility navigation provides a convenient way for users to find what content they're looking for quickly.
  • At the top of the homepage is today's date, along with quick links displayed as icons for the Event Calendar, Subscribe, and Donate. Adding icons to navigation menus offer a more customizable and fun approach.
  • The footer menu contains contact information, social media links, quick links, and an embedded Twitter feed with the latest posted tweets.

New Website Features

  • TCPPC, as an agent of change in today's media landscape, is a resource that brings diverse perspectives into mainstream culture by breaking News, Sports, Lifestyle, Arts & entertainment, Health, and Business coverage across multi-channel platforms from a Black Perspective.
  • This site also uses Google syndication to serve up local ads. This means that their content is always current, providing the best possible experience for advertisers and consumers alike.
  • Consumers can choose between a print subscription and an electronic edition emailed weekly on the homepage.
  • Under the Opinions lister on the homepage is the latest poll for readers to vote in, and they can scroll through some of the newest OpEd articles.
  • TCPPC also uses 立博客户端app下载's News Module to categorize articles across the site.
  • Also displayed across the site is the UserWay accessibility widget. This allows visitors with visual or hearing impairments to navigate the content across TCPPC's website. Learn more about making your Website accessible.
